Anyone with a current Texas Driver’s License with a correct address may obtain a library card. Children must be at least 5 years old and be present with their parent, grandparent, or legal guardian to receive a library card.
Library cards expire every 2 years.
Digital access cards expire yearly.
Library cards for patrons 75 or older expire every 5 years.
Most library materials are able to be checked out for 2 weeks and can be renewed twice if no one is waiting for them.
Overdue items are 10 cents per day, per item. The library also charges fees for lost library cards, lost and damaged items, etc. MCMLS accepts cash payments. Check payments for amounts $2.00 or more are also accepted.
MCMLS collects materials, in a variety of formats, which serve the recreational, educational, and informational needs of the community. The collection also reflects the special needs and interests of the community.
MCMLS strives to provide a high level of service by protecting each user’s right to privacy regarding materials used or information sought.
