How many items can I check out at the same time?

Patrons may have up to 30 items checked out on their card.

How long can I keep my items?

Most items have a checkout period of 2 weeks.

How many DVDs and/or Blu-rays can I check out?

• DVDs and/or Blu-rays (in any combination) are limited to a total of 10.

• DVDs and/or Blu-rays can only be checked out on an adult card.

How many audiobooks and/or music CDs can I check out?

Audiobooks and/or music CDs (in any combination) are limited to a total of 10.

Can I return materials to any Montgomery County library?

Yes. Materials may be returned to any MCMLS location. Book drops are available at all locations for after-hours returns.

Can I renew the items I have checked out?

Items can be renewed if they are not requested by another patron.

Will my items automatically be renewed?

• Yes. If another patron has not requested an item, it will automatically be renewed.

• Interlibrary loans will not automatically renew.

How many times can I renew?

Items can be renewed 2 times if no one has requested the item.
